  • Aerosmith’s “I Don’t Wanna Miss a Thing”.
  • Frank Sinatra’s “The Way You Look Tonight.
  • Natalie Cole’s “This Will Be an Everlasting Love”.
  • They walked back down the aisle to “Best Day of my Life” by the American Authors.ĭespite the Grand Entrance wedding crasher, the newlyweds made a fabulous entrance to Sara Bareilles’ “I Choose You.” After dinner and toasts, David danced with his mom to Luis Armstrong’s “What a Wonderful World,” and Tiff danced with her dad to Jason Blaine’s “Dance with my Daughter.” Originally, Tiff & Dave selected Neil Young’s “Harvest Moon” for their First Dance then they changed it to Blane Howard’s “Promise to Love Her.” We then took a group photo on the dance floor, turned the lights down, and cranked the music UP!įor the cocktail hour/dinner music playlist at this La Jolla Sheraton wedding, the bride and groom requested: Uncle Jeff then performed a lovely ceremony, which the frazzled couple joyously laughed through. On the full-sun lawn near this La Jolla wedding venue’s pool, Tiff walked down the aisle to “A Thousand Years” by Christina Perri (after the wedding party be-bopped down the aisle to “Happy” by Pharrell). They are planning a trip to Hawaii for their honeymoon. Together, Tiff & Dave enjoy boating, camping, fishing, yard work, wood work, and skateboarding (duh!). It was Tiffany who then got down on her knees and presented David with a ring! Finally, she slipped him a note saying, “Will you marry me? Check yes or no.” He wrote a smiley face and handed her back the note. Tiffany decided to play a little game, and she slipped him a school-girl-style note saying “Check yes or no if you like me.” Then “Check yes or no if you love me,” etc. On the day after Valentine’s Day in 2013, they were hanging out at home. Tiff & Dave, who live in Oregon, met in May 2007 when he made Tiffany a custom skate board. (And don’t even get me started on the rehearsal…) Repeat after me: “shit show”!!! Mad props to Tiffany who handled it like a champ–seriously! Oh, AND someone the bride didn’t know jumped in the Grand Entrance last minute. Oh, and it was 500 degrees outside! Oh, and some of the wedding party bailed last minute. The flowers were wilted and ugly and had to be replaced last minute with fake flowers 🙁 And our experience with the venue was “mehhhh” at best (banquet captain INTERRUPTING me during MCing–literally tugging on my arm as I’m trying to adjust mic volume levels–after I ignored him tapping me on the shoulder…food was tasty though & the bartender was helpful).

The hair dresser no showed (can you say “thanks for making the ceremony 45 minutes late”?). What went wrong at this La Jolla Sheraton wedding you ask? The bottom tier of the cake got destroyed during transportation (and the rest of it looked pretty lumpy and lop-sided). So, of all the San Diego wedding DJs around, Tiffany and David chose me to DJ and MC their La Jolla Sheraton wedding on Saturday, September 2, 2017…and I’m glad they did–because, man, did this bride show some serious grace when literally E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G at her wedding went wrong 🙁 Yep, I said “shit show” (but, in my defense, that’s only because the bride used that phrase about 500 times to describe her big day).
